This solid 1970’s brick home has been transformed into a modern townhouse with a bold second storey addition.
The form is driven by the heights and setbacks on this small suburban block, with reference back to the 70’s roof style, and an intent to transform this 70’s architecture into modern architectural forms and finishes.
Artisan glass detailing enriches and enlivens the interiors, whilst introducing more natural light. The dark brick and timber features from the original 70's interior are transformed through the use of colour and texture to provide a modern fresh look.
This project is the runner up in the Bayside City Council Built Environment Awards 2015 - Best Renovation/ Extension Category.
