INNER CITY WAREHOUSE

Contrast

A warehouse conversion that maintains some of the rawness of its warehouse origins.  Polished concrete floors are juxtaposed by warm timber finishes.  Joinery units divide the interiors, with coffered ceilings reinforcing spatial definition, providing vehicles for electrical and mechanical services.

The spaces are linked vertically through an open timber, stainless steel and glass staircase which folds through the building.  Cool and crisp are contrasted by warm and rough surfaces to provide a restful oasis in the hustle and bustle of Melbourne central.
