Millar Robertson and ERM Landscape Architects worked in conjunction with Moreland City Council to prepare a master plan for an old Brunswick brick quarry site, which later became a landfill tip.
The design incorporates parkland, soccer fields and pavilion, outdoor stage and change facilities for festival use, with a network of paths linking the site into the local bike path network.
Serpentine brick walls reference back to the historical beginnings of the site, heralding entry points, forming seats or just playful walls for children to climb.
Extensive rehabilitation of the site was undertaken in preparation for the landscape and building works.
